Olukoya
Ogen is a historian based in the Department of History, Obafemi Awolowo
University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D in History from the University of
Lagos and specialises in the social and economic history of Nigeria. He also
earned a certificate in Trade, Growth and Poverty from the World Bank Institute,
Washington D.C. Dr. Ogen is a member of Antislavery
International,
the African
Borderlands Research Network (ABORNE)
and also a consultant to a number of NGOs dealing with Nigeria’s socio-economic
development. A prolific scholar who has authored several academic papers, Dr.
Ogen is currently the African Regional Editor of Nebula,
an
international quarterly affiliated to
the
University of Western Sydney’s School of Humanities and Languages.
He is also a Reviewer for the Journal
of Latino-Latin American Studies
based
at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is a recipient of CECS, University of
York Conference Grant, and the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and
Culture Travel Fellowship. |
